Working with the artist
Prepare your custom painting idea
You do not need a finished design. Start with a photo, a supplied image or a written idea, and we will shape the daytime artwork and its night effect together.

What to share
I can adjust or redraw your photograph, work with an image you supply, or create a visual from your description. Tell me what matters to you, rather than trying to prepare a perfect design before contacting me.
- Your starting image or idea. Send the original file where possible, an image link, or a written description.
- The details to keep or change. Describe the subject, atmosphere, colours and any personal meaning.
- The night effect you imagine. Point out the elements you would like to reveal or emphasise with light, including any hidden text.
- The space. Share your preferred canvas size and, if useful, a photo and measurements of the wall.
- Your setup. Choose a frame and standard power option, and mention any non-standard technical requirements.
The order page accepts JPG, PNG or WebP uploads up to 10 MB, with image-link and design-note fields available too. If your file does not fit the upload requirements, use an image link or discuss how to send it with the artist.
From your idea to approved mockups
Choose your size, frame and power option on the order page. Digital design work normally begins after payment. If you would like to explore your idea first, contact me before ordering; a preview before payment can be discussed individually.
- Shape and approve the daytime visual. We work on the image itself, including requested edits, redrawing or a new visual created from your brief.
- Develop the night design. Once the daytime visual is agreed, I prepare the illuminated design prototype.
- Review day and night mockups. You see how the artwork is intended to appear in both states and provide feedback.
- Approve production. Only after your approval do I make the physical light painting.
The lighting is integrated into the artwork. The mockups help us agree which parts of the image will become visible or stand out after dark.
Design refinements and extra work
Refinements to your agreed design are included. Most projects reach the right result within one or two rounds of feedback, and further refinements can be made where needed without an extra charge. One or two rounds describe the usual process, not a fixed limit.
If you choose a completely different image during the process and the design needs to start again, an additional design fee of €50–€100 may apply, depending on detail and complexity. This is separate from refining the existing agreed idea.
Special technical requirements
The standard power arrangement is included in your selected product configuration. A particular voltage, a specific non-standard type of power supply, or a custom controller integration such as Zigbee or WLED is quoted separately.
Describe these requirements before placing the order. They are custom options to discuss, rather than features included automatically with every painting.
Quick answers
Can I start with an idea rather than an image?
Yes. Share a written description or references, and we can develop a visual together.
Will I see the daytime and illuminated designs before production?
Yes. You review day and night mockups, and physical production starts after approval.
Do I pay extra for every correction?
No. Refinements to the agreed design are included. A completely new image requiring a fresh start, or non-standard technical work, can be charged separately as described above.
