At home

One artwork, two moods: light paintings at home

Choosing a light painting means considering two views of your room. The canvas is part of the wall during the day; after dark, its illuminated details become another part of the room’s light.

Start with the daytime room

In the daytime view, the Brussels painting sits above the sofa as a framed artwork. The furniture, the wall and the objects around it all affect how the composition feels. A product image can help you imagine the setting, but your own measurements are a better way to judge the size.

Look from the place where you normally sit or enter the room. Check the wall area, nearby shelves and doors, and the complete dimensions if you choose an external frame. The size guide explains how to compare options on your actual wall.

Give the night view room to work

The night image brings the illuminated arch and lines forward. The artwork becomes a focal point in a different way, without needing a second picture on the wall.

Consider the lights you already use nearby. Try the painting alongside your evening lamps, then adjust its brightness to a level that feels comfortable in that setting. The effect does not need to compete with every other light in the room.

Plan for the way you use the space

The setup should fit your routine as well as the wall. Rechargeable power gives a cable-free look while the artwork is lit. A wired setup needs a connection to its power supply; the rechargeable version can also remain connected to its supplied adapter.

If you enjoy the artwork at particular times, app scheduling lets you choose on and off times for selected days. For charging and battery-use conditions, see the battery or wired guide.

Before ordering, bring those choices together: the image you want by day, the illuminated details you want at night, the full size on your wall and access to power or charging. That gives the painting a place in the room, as well as a place on the wall.
